Deputy Minister of Finance Mr. Do Hoang Anh Tuan had a meeting with Ms. Claire Ireland – Counselor, Agency for Development Cooperation, Embassy of Australia in Vietnam (AusAID) and witnessed the Signing Ceremony of funding agreement for the project "Upgrading Electronic Information Website on State Assets".

At the meeting, the two sides shared and discussed matters of mutual interest and the results of the cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and AusAID in public asset management.

Deputy Minister Do Hoang Anh Tuan appreciated the cooperation and technical support of AusAID during the last few years, including the project of the Law on Management and Use of State Assets, which was approved by the National Assembly on 03rd June 2008, the guidelines to implement the Law, the National Database of State Assets and the website of public asset management. In recent years, the management and use of state assets have made significant progress with the active support from the AusAID. Deputy Minister Do Hoang Anh Tuan also shared that the Ministry of Finance strive to efficiently and effectively use the support from AusAID.

Counselor Claire Ireland emphasized that the cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and AusAID had significant achievements, in which the implementation of the Law on Management and Use of State Assets was a milestone in the relationship between the two parties. She affirmed that AusAID would continue to prioritize the support for Ministry of Finance on public asset management in the coming years./.
