As of 15 November 2014, Vietnam has signed and joined 30 International Treaties and Agreements based on the proposals by the Ministry of Finance on behalf of the State and the Government of Vietnam.

Within the scope of functions and tasks assigned, the Ministry of Finance has been negotiating, signing, joining and implementing International Agreements mainly in the areas of tax, customs, management and supervision of security markets, insurance and banking sector.
According to general evaluation, the implementation of International Agreements has generally favorable effects due to the exchange, coordination and compromise of the parties. Most Agreements were signed and implemented effectively, basically achieving the original goals, towards the common goal of modernizing financial sector, especially in taxation, customs, finance - banking, insurance and securities, which contributes to economic recovery and growth and enhances financial cooperation of Vietnam.
It is expected that in 2015, the Ministry of Finance will sign 22 International Agreements on a number of important areas including tax, customs, finance - banking, stock market, insurance and information technology - financial statistics.
